TEE findings were consistent with the appearance of the

valve
at surgery. The valve was myxomatous with prolapse of

|
|
the
middle scallop of the posterior leaflet

quadrangular resection of the middle scallop was performed

and
a 30 mm annuloplasty ring was inserted to reinforce the

|
|
repair.

Cardiac
activity was restored and patient was weaned from

|
cardiopulmonary
bypass (CPB). The mean arterial
pressure
|
|
|
was
65 mm Hg and the mean pulmonary artery pressure was 38
|
|
mm
Hg.

examination of the mitral valve was performed.
